  • Who is the Rootz App made for?

    The Rootz App has been created for people of all ages and aims to connect people of different generations with each other in an interactive way, no matter where they are in the world. The Rootz App is user friendly and build to connect the grandchildren with granddad and grandma with just one click you are connected.

  • What can you do with the Rootz App?

    With the Rootz App you can read a book together while video chatting, play a game, view and browse pictures. For example, grandma and grandchild can read a book together while they are video calling.

  • With how many people can I make video calls?

    In the current version of the Rootz App you can make video calls with a maximum of 3 people at the same time. We are aiming to extend this to 4 or even 6 people in the future.

  • Can I also make full screen calls?

    By clicking on the webcam icon while making a video call, the full screen will be collapsed.

  • How can I add people to my group?

    You can add people to your group by invitation via email. The email will be sent automatically from the Rootz App.

  • I have been removed from a group. What happens now?

    If you have been removed from a family/group you are no longer able to use the Rootz App, unless the administrator of the relevant group invites you to re-join the group. If you would like to continue using the Rootz App you could also subscribe to Rootz yourself.

  • I cannot log in to my Rootz App account. What is happening?

    This may have different causes. 1. Please check your Internet connection. 2. The Rootz App subscription has been cancelled so that you cannot log in. 3. Technical problem. Please reboot the iPad and log in again. If this problem occurs for 24 hours or longer, please send an email to the Rootz help desk (info@family-rootz.com) and we will try to solve any issues as soon as possible.

  • I just bought a new book/game via the Rootz App in-app store, but my purchase does not appear in my list. What is happening?

    This may have different causes. 1. Please check your Internet connection. 2. Reboot your iPad and log In again. The books may have been uploaded by now. 3. If this problems occurs for 24 hours or longer, please contact our Rootz help desk (info@family-rootz.com) and we will try to solve any issues as soon as possible.

  • I cannot make video calls in the Rootz App. What is happening?

    The Internet connection of one of your group/family members may be insufficient. This may cause problems when trying to make video calls. If a call notification does not come through you should check whether the push notification settings on your iPad are enabled. If this is not the case, then please enable them. If call notifications still don’t come through even though you enabled them in the settings you should reboot your iPad. If this problem occurs for 24 hours or longer, please reinstall the Rootz App. You can still log in with your current account.
